Rider University partners with education technology company CollegeVine to improve student experience

Rider University has partnered with CollegeVine, a Boston-based higher education technology company that develops AI-powered tools for student recruitment, services and support.

Through the partnership, Rider will implement CollegeVine’s AI Recruiter and AI One Stop tools to improve communication, simplify access to university resources and strengthen support for students.

The investment comes as colleges and universities nationwide face changing demographics and growing demands for more personalized, responsive service. For the university, the new technology offers another way to respond to those changes while creating more capacity for staff to provide the attention central to the college experience.

“Students and families deserve personalized support and easy access to the information they need,” says Rider University President John R. Loyack. “These tools give us new ways to serve them at every stage of the Rider experience — from helping prospective students discover what Rider has to offer to helping current students and families stay informed and connected. While we all teach technologies like AI tools, higher education is generally slow to adopt new technologies like AI in our business practices. We see great opportunity in being an early adopter.”

The university expects to launch CollegeVine’s AI Recruiter and AI One Stop tools this fall.

Until recently, colleges have had limited ability to provide highly individualized communication early in the recruitment process, when admission teams may be engaging with thousands of prospective students at once. Tools like AI Recruiter make it possible to offer more personalized outreach much earlier, helping students receive information relevant to their interests, questions and where they are in the college search process.

At Rider, AI Recruiter will extend that level of engagement throughout the admission process, while AI One Stop will carry it forward for current students and families by providing easier access to information, reminders about important deadlines and guidance on University services.

Beyond personalized outreach, the technology can communicate in more than 50 languages, provide answers around the clock, and proactively reach out to students with reminders and next steps.
