Hurricane HQ: Tropical trouble brewing in Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic Ocean<\/h2>\n

FOX Weather is closely monitoring two systems in the tropics that have the potential to impact the U.S.<\/a> this week. The first one has a high chance of development<\/a> and will bring flooding<\/a> to Texas<\/a> and Louisiana<\/a> this week. The other has a low chance of development<\/a> and could spell heavy rain for the Southeast<\/a> coast this week.<\/p>\n

Dangerous heat wave shaping up for northern US<\/h2>\n

A heat wave<\/a> is expected to bring the hottest weather of the year so far to the Ohio<\/a> Valley and Northeast<\/a> this week. Record-breaking temperatures are expected<\/a>, and triple-digit temps are possible for the heavily populated Interstate 95 corridor.<\/p>\n

\u2018Ring of Fire\u2019 pattern could bring severe weather, flooding to Midwest<\/h2>\n

A so-called "Ring of Fire" weather pattern will set up<\/a> across the Upper Midwest<\/a> starting Monday. This happens when a large high-pressure system<\/a>, such as the one bringing record heat to the eastern U.S. this week, forces thunderstorms<\/a> to go around the edge of it. Portions of North Dakota<\/a>, South Dakota<\/a>, Nebraska<\/a>, Minnesota<\/a> and Wisconsin<\/a> face the risk of severe weather<\/a> and flooding.<\/p>\n
